I'm a director and actor working predominantly in live theatre, living bi-coastally between California and NYC.
The story begins in the photo to the left: very questionably posed and sporting tap shoes. Would it surprise you to hear that I sometimes still sit like that? Would it surprise you more to hear that I barely spoke in public in those days? In fact, I was painfully shy as a child (hard to fathom now, I am well aware). I could distinctly communicate one thing though- I LOVED theatre, I LOVED music, and I LOVED obsessively watching my favorite movie musicals....on repeat. Thanks to the unending support of my incomparable family, I was encouraged to pursue my creative passions and found a voice through the arts.

Wanting to immerse myself in as many aspects of the industry as possible, I have experience in casting, production management, in a talent agency, in marketing, as the creator of a viral theatre-blog, as a choreographer, and as a drama teacher. Though now I work primarily as an actor and director, each one of my past undertakings has offered me a distinct perspective and molded me into a more well-rounded theatre-maker. Professionally, I am extraordinarily passionate about what I do, the people I get to do it with, and am continually thankful for the opportunities I have to create.

As an artist, I have a particular affinity for modernized period pieces and nostalgically-inclined modern works. If you want to talk “old stuff,” let’s chat about Vaudeville, and vintage radio programs, and “talkies,” and Vitaphone shorts, and early female comediennes, and variety shows, and “say goodnight, Gracie,” and “goodnight Mrs. Calabash, whenever you are.” If you want to talk “new stuff,” let’s chat about radically modernizing older pieces for today’s audiences with an emphasis on diversity, representation, and inclusion for all artists.
Whether working as an actor or director, I pride myself on thorough research, open communication, inquisitiveness, positivity, thoughtfulness, individuality, and collaborative story-telling. I am forever grateful to still get to do what I LOVE and to truly LOVE what I do....just as fervently as I did in the photo on the right. And let's be frank, you really shouldn't leave this page without knowing that that photo was from a recital dance to Rednex's Cotton Eyed Joe. Just let that sink in.... ;)
